You're getting very sleepy...

This is a big week for us. The time has come, the time is now, to get Lincoln into his own room and into his own crib. We haven't done a lot of letting him sleep in bed with us, but he has been in our room where he is in close proximity and we can hear his every breath. After being on vacation and out of the house for a couple weeks we figured it was a good time to make the switch.

Two nights ago was the first attempt...that was a long night. He was soo tired, but when we'd leave him alone he would lie there making motor sounds until his binky falls out and he works himself up again...but the second we go in and reassure him he's fine.

I had started on this mobile craft project before he was born...or shortly thereafter, but I just hadn't been able to get it finished. Now that he's sleeping in his own bed though, he needs something to look at so I got it done yesterday- and last night; heaven. I'm sure it had everything to do with the pinwheels spinning above his head.

It feels a little like I'm hypnotizing my child.

Happy

"I am happy you had a baby"

My niece, Amber said it best in this picture she drew for us
(I'm on the right in orange, and that letter T I'm holding is Lincoln)

happy, adj.

blessed, blissful, captivated, cheerful, chipper, content, delighted, ecstatic, elated, flying high, glad, gleeful, gratified, jolly, joyful, jubilant, merry, overjoyed, pleased, thrilled, tickled pink

I'm happy I had a baby
That pretty much sums up the last 11 weeks since Lincoln was born.
Joyful, grateful, dazed, delighted, smitten, and the purest, highest, fullest form of happy I have ever known.
